TERRE DES FEMMES – human rights for women e. V. is a non-profit women's rights organization. The Association with seat in Berlin was founded in 1981 and is funded mostly by donations and member contributions.

TERRE DES FEMMES is an advocate for equal rights of girls and women in Germany and worldwide, and supports victims of violence or vulnerable girls and women. In our work, we focus on international networking, comprehensive Information, personal counseling of those Affected, targeted actions and campaigns in the Public, as well as the support of selected projects abroad.

TERRE DES FEMMES explains where the myths or traditions, women make life hard to protest when rights are curtailed, and calls for a world worth living in for all girls and women – equal rights, self-determined and free! Our focus is on Domestic and sexual violence, trafficking in women and Prostitution, forced marriage and violence in the name of (family) honour and female genital mutilation (FGM/Female Genital Mutilation).
